Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell are pleased to report the
sale of the former Masonic Hall at 28-40 Lake Road, Portsmouth. The ground
floor indoor play centre with upper parts was bought by a private purchaser for
an undisclosed amount.
The
partially refurbished premises are situated in the centre of
Portsmouth in a prominent position at the western end of Lake Road, on the
junction to the pedestrian area of Commercial Road where many major retailers
are located.
Commenting on the
sale, Luke Mort, Commercial Agent at Chartered Surveyors Holloway, Iliffe &
Mitchell said:
“The sale follows an influx of sales completed in Portsmouth
and surrounding areas over the last 12 to 18 months. The site has generated a
substantial amount of interest from a variety of development angles but is expected
to be developed to student accommodation, to assist with the current shortfall.”
